How To Join

Process of accepting new Artist’s:
Prim Nest is a juried group. What this means is that we have a vision for the type of items offered on our web site. We are looking for extremely well made, handmade items (or genuine Antiques). We are also looking for Vintage style Artist’s that make clay sculpted figures (ie; Santa’s, Snowmen, Halloween, etc.,) or other unique designs. Additionally, we are looking for Primitive and Folk Art Artist’s to join us. Talented mixed media and collage Artist’s will also be a welcomed addition to our membership. These are examples to give you ideas and we aren’t limited to just the items mentioned above.

If you do apply and are not invited to join us, please don’t feel offended. Our goal is certainly not to hurt anyone’s feelings! Just because your work may not fit into what we are looking for it does not de-value it in any way! Everyone’s Art is different and we are simply looking for a certain style to showcase on Prim Nest. We will however encourage you to re-apply again if you feel that your work fits in better at a later time. To be considered we ask that you send us a minimum of three (3) clear photos of your work or a web site link where we can view your work. Please E-mail us at pattyjprimnest@gmail.com. Of course use the @ sign and no spaces. We will do our best to respond within 72 hours. 

Please note that there is a limit to the number of members on Prim Nest.

What’s you are allowed to sell:
Prim Nest will have 3 main categories and the following is to be used as a guideline of what is allowed to be sold in each of these categories. If you are in doubt it is best to ask us first before listing your item.

-Primitives: Handmade dolls, ornaments, wool creations, penny rugs, finished quilts, stitched items, hooked rugs, wood items, paintings, mixed media, collage, assemblage, primitive antiques, etc., (There are many more acceptable items in this category, but you get the idea).

-Folk Art: Original Paintings, dolls, wood items, antiques, etc., (There are many more acceptable items in this category, but you get the idea).

-Vintage: Handmade vintage style items including dolls, handmade clay figurines, aprons, original paintings, actual completed vintage quilts, wood items, etc., (Use caution in this category; example of acceptable item: A vintage style apron vs. a non-acceptable item: A vintage pair of bell bottom jeans from the 1970’s or vintage planter. If it’s not handmade and not a true Antique, then it’s best to ask us first before listing it.

What is not allowed to be sold:
- No Patterns (epatterns or paper). If you want to offer patterns consider joining www.PatternMart.com
- No Graphics or printables (individually, sets or on CD). Sell these at www.InstantPrintables.com
- No Prints or reproductions of paintings including greeting cards, etc.,
- No Non-handmade items (with the exception of genuine Antiques that are Primitive or Folk Art).
- No Reproduction Vintage or Antique type items.
- No yard sale type items.
- No supply type items (with the exception of sets of handmade hangtags – if in doubt please ask first.)
- No imports what so ever.
- No magazines or publications (with the exception of altered or antique books).
