Mammy loves Shortening

A little too much shortening, lol. Primitive Mammy is 17" tall x 10" wide at the hips. Made of Black & tan homespun w/ stained osnaburg apron & cheesecloth scarf. Itty bitty hands & feet. Painted pieced head made of osnaburg with stitched eyes & eyelids, separate stitched nose & mouth, raw flax hair. Witchee Grunge Witch

Witchee Wow! This is a BIG lady, over 37" & LOTS of details, I just hope you can see all of them in the pics. Made of muslin with a 4 step stain, paint & grunge process, but so worth the end effect. Dressed in layers of stained aged gray cheesecloth, adorned with rusty pins & bells. She holds a grungy very primitive crow that has been put through the same paint, stain & grunge process. Nose is pinch stitched, eyes are stitched with floss & rusty carpet tacks & rusty pin mouth. Love her hair, it's painted & stained twine. Hat is wired so you can adjust it. She also holds a twig broom I made from grapevine. Hangs on wall or door or stand against a wall.
